If you are independent and like your own privacy try out Taupos' serviced motels, apartments and houses. Self contained units consist of ensuite and cooking facilities, with at minimum the basic tea and coffee making facilities. A laundry facility is mainly communal with the exception of an apartment or house.

The Lake Taupo region has many motels around the lake region for you to choose from. Seek information at any of the i-sites in this region who will be able to inform you about the town and the accommodation available. The motels and apartments are of a high standard and have very good service.
