The Terraces Hotel is an historic Taupo landmark that first opened its doors in 1889. The recently refurbished two story hotel combines colonial charm with contemporary style and comfort. The hotel is located 1km from the lakefront along State Highway 5 with stunning views of the lake and mountains. The elegant function room is ideal for conferences up to 100 people.
Our dedicated conference and events manager ensures your every need is met with attention to detail. The staff pride themselves on offering first class service, and are well equipped to provide you and your delegates with everything you will need during your stay.The adjoining Taupo Hot Springs is a short stroll from the hotel and offers a range of health and beauty treatments, including bathing in the therapeutic mineral pools.

We have 2 restaurants, and 2 bars to offer total flexibility to guests and delegates. The Terraces Hotel is renown for our tempting Pacific Rim Cuisine, an extensive wine and beer selection and excellent service. With open fires and large outside balconies you can dine in style and comfort, all while enjoying one of the most spectacular views in Taupo.
