Sheltered River conditions give us the advantage to operate on water that is always calm. This makes cruising comfortable and enjoyable for all passengers on every trip. These comfortable conditions also means no cancellation on windy days.
Options : We have many options to choose from. Our standard 1 hour and 20 minute cruise. Conference meetings on board which can be included with Breakfast, Morning tea, Lunch, Afternoon tea, Drinks and nibbles or Gourmet BBQ. We have an award winning chef who is also a New Zealand Beef and Lamb ambassador and an award winning Baker who will cater for your groups needs.
About our Cruise : You will see more River Cruising. For the entire cruise you are close to everything you are looking at. Birdlife, Native Bush, Natural Hotsprings, Crystal clear water and so much more. Our Cruise highlight is the amazing water level views of Huka Falls (New Zealands highest volume waterfall). Our Riverboat allows for great photography and video footage. This allows your groups to get amazing team photos with Huka Falls as a back drop. While cruising we pass the Wairakei Geo-thermal Power Station, Huka Prawn Park and Huka Falls Jet. We depart from the Aratiatia Dam which opens at set times daily to re-create New Zealands largest rapids. We time our daily cruises for passengers to watch this before boarding.
Huka Falls River Cruise is a locally owned and operated family business. Owner/operator Dave Kilmister is Huka Falls most experienced skipper, with over 7000 commercial trips and 10 years on the river. Huka Falls River Cruise operates under Maritime Management Systems, Safe Ship Management Plan.
Cost : Our standard cruise cost is $30 per Adult (2007) Group discounts are as follows
10+ passengers $27, 20+ passengers $24, 30+ passengers $21 (price is per person).
