TRIPLECROSS EVENT Multisport meets Motorsport

Following on from the success of the first event held in March 07, the organisers are staging the second annual TripleCross event, "where multisport meets motorsport". Individuals or teams of 2 or 3 persons will take part in a 3 stage one day event near Taupo, combining mountain biking, running and motorcycling (enduro) in an off road, challenging event. Competitor feedback has been incorporated to improve the race. The combination of these three sports are to many people a natural cross-over, with cross-training benefits for fitness and technical skills. Competitors will be challenged by a total of around 80 km of climbs and descents, varying pumice and forest terrain, technical and fast sections, and single and 4wd forest tracks. Odyssey 3 Day Mountain Bike Tour

3 day mountain bike event. The event will begin in Whakatane and finish in Taupo coming through Rotorua along the way with two overnight camps set up. Travel through Forrest, bush, around lakes and along ridges while experiencing great camaraderie and some of the most beautiful country in New Zealand.
