So just what is special about the 2 day? The tracks for each day are totally different. The Saturday ride takes place on the South side of State Highway 5 and the Sunday ride is on the North.
Fire, noise, excitement and surprise are among the elements of the new look ERUPT Lake Taupo Arts Festival, happening in May 2008. The 7th biennial festival will happen over 10 days in May, and will also provide the region with a large-scale event in the quieter season.
Please note: Tongariro Crossing has had a name change. The Department of Conservation have re-named this track - Tongariro Alpine Crossing to better reflect the nature of the hike. The hike covers mountainous and volcanic terrain and often experiences rapid weather changes.
