Waitetoko on SH1 on the southern shores of Lake Taupo, is a picturesque idyllic settlement which has an atmosphere of holiday fun and relaxation. On a clear day you will have stunning views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. The famous Tauranga-Taupo River flows down from the Kaimanawa ranges and is a fly-fishermans heaven.
