Home of “Shawn the Prawn”. Experience New Zealand’s only Prawn Park with a stroll around “Shawn’s Walk” which includes a guided Hatchery Tour, and an introduction to ‘Hook-A-Prawn’ Fishing. Why not try out Shawn’s Water Gauntlet and Prawn Bikes before continuing over architecturally built walkways to our spectacular riverside nature walk. Feed the trout, and finally soak your feet in the geothermal foot bath before heading into our stunning alfresco riverside restaurant for a treat of tasty New Zealand Prawns.

Experience Lake Taupo's fresh clear waters and explore the beautiful lake edge while learning about the region's incredible volcanic creation and local history. Paddle to the Maori Rock Carvings, which are over 10 metres high (possibly the largest of their type in the world). Sea kayaking will allow you to get up close to the carvings with plenty of time to study their details. Hear about their history, how they were carved, and also about their cultural significance. Enjoy a drink and a bite to eat, and maybe an invigorating swim before paddling back.

The Tongariro river is fed from the Sacred Mountains of the Central North Island Plateau. Crystal clear water flows over 60 bouncy technical rapids through a scenic volcanic gorge of beautiful native forest and fauna. This is a special and fun filled experience for white water seekers and nature lovers alike.

Marvel at the incredible water level views of the spectacular Huka Falls, and enjoy the sensation as you slide past cliffs and trees at 80km per hour. The awesome performance of the Hukafalls Jet boats will put your heart in your mouth when your driver spins your Hukafalls Jet through 360 degrees in its own length at high speed.
